The Tigers making their first visit to 'The Lair' this season in a challenge match, saw the Tigers shock the cats and show the league that they are not gong to lie down and take it easy.

A weird penalty call, when Mackriel seemed to punch the goalie, only to see Stone go off for hooking, giving the Visitors the upper hand, (Stone {Hooking) @ 4:04) allowing the Tigers to score after only four minutes (4:12) Henry, from Stanton on the power play,  silenced the home crowd and shocked the Wildcats who looked like they (and the crowd) where expecting to walk over the Tigers, much to the enjoyment of the small band of traveling Tigers supporters.

another ambiguous penalty from the Tigers (0 (bench minor 77) @6:43 sorry couldn't catch the call) and the Wildcats Joe Baird Taking a walk to the bin (reasons unknown) @ 10.01

It took another eleven minutes for the Cats to strike back, although it wasn't for trying, the Tigers netminder pulling glove and pad saves off to stop the home team from catching and extending their school.

At 15:07 a Power play goal after the Tigers took a double penalty (Scott {Tripping} @ 14:02 and Watkins {Interference} @14:02) only to see the visitors reply smartly back at 17:08 with McKenzie putting one past Douglas (who seemed a little off game).

Late in the first saw the Tigers back in front @ 17:08 from McKenzie brought the end of a closely fought period with the Wildcats showing that they had been caught on the back foot, only a few minutes later seeing the Tigers making an NetMinder replacement due to a leg injury.

Telford once more opened the scoring in the 2nd with Allen putting past Douglas once more (from McKenzie) @ 21:09 (1-3) , @ 22:08 the Tigers Ryan (31) pulled of five or six amazing saves from the ground keeping the Tigers far in front of the Cats.

Making his return to 'the Lair' Janak took a delay of game after he put the puck over the boards from his own D Zone, followed by Baird @ 26:22 (couldn't catch the call).

25.53 saw Jones pull a cheap shot after the whistle, which started a tussle between The Wildcats "wild man" Ryan Watts ending in Jones falling to the floor after being completely over run by Watts punches, this seemed to wake the cats and stir them into life, both players received a 2+2 for Roughing.

At 26:22 the cat's Joe Baird took a second walk after another altercation (unknown penalty call) followed by Kohut for slashing @ 35.55, the cats managing to kill off both penalties.

Kohut took a boarding penalty almost straight from the face-off at 43:07, which the Cats PK team cleared with ease, they came out how they aimed to finish the 3rd period @45:52 the cats hit back with Watts showing he's not at all just a enforcer and scored off lovely passes from Melchar and Kohut. 45:56 saw the Tiger netminder take a tripping minor, the cats failed to capitalise on this.

Kohut @ 54:02 drew one back for the cats (unknown assists) only 13 seconds later (54:15), took another 2 + 10 (i believe) for forechecking to the head (?)  (i believe this should have been boarding as the incident happened right in front of me) whilst Watkins took a 2+2 for roughing - there was a lot of dispute on the ice over this and with a very poor sound system it was difficult to assertion a lot of the calls.

A time out @ 59:00 for the 'Cats, they pulled the netminder in a last ditch attempt to equal the score, this plan was pulled off with Liska taking a pass from Watt to score at 59:08.

There was very dubious, calls through out the game, and cheap shots being dealt (by both teams, more by the Tigers) on wonders whether refs need to be making more calls, whether the game is delayed or not.
