Defenceman Jack Tarczycki has become the third player to commit to the Invicta Dynamos ahead of the 2011/12 season after he agreed terms with Head Coach Kevin Parrish to remain with the club for another year. Blue liner Tarczycki has played exactly 100 times for the team so far, amassing 15 goals and 25 assists in the process, and will now return in September hoping to add more to that tally.

Jack Tarczycki first arrived in Gillingham in the summer of 2008 from the EPL’s Bracknell Bees and since then has proven himself to be one of the strongest all round defencemen in the division. In 2008/09 he made 42 appearances in Medway and played an important role as the team swept their way to both the ENIHL Southern and National Titles. His good form led to a return the following year and, in 38 outings, he notched 17 points as the side again picked up a Southern Championship. However, at the start of 2010/11, and with his grass roots in Streatham, Tarczycki opted to return to South London to ice for the Redskins in their final full year at the High Road rink. He was soon back in Gillingham though as an unfortunate injury to Ryan Giles left the Dynamos needing a blue liner and the defenceman chose to make the return to Kent midway through the campaign. Now he will again line-up at the Silver Blades Ice Rink when the first puck hits the ice for the 2010/11 season.

Speaking on the return of his established ‘D’-man Head Coach Kevin Parrish revealed that he was delighted to have Jack Tarczycki staying in Gillingham and that he rated the blue liner amongst the best in the division. Parrish said, “Jack returned to us from the Streatham Redskins midway through last season and was in great form from the moment he pulled on the Dynamos’ jersey again. His all round game play ranks him as one of the most dependable defenceman in the league and so we are naturally pleased he has committed himself to the club for another term”. Parrish then highlighted what he considers to be his latest acquisition’s strengths when he said, “With him having played a hundred games for the Dynamos it’s fair to say we know exactly the sort of player we’re getting with Jack. He always gets stuck in, regularly puts his body on the line and will always step up and defend his teammates when necessary”. Finally the Coach paid tribute to Tarczycki’s attacking prowess when he added, “Not only is Jack a formidable defenceman but he demonstrated last season that he also has an eye for the target with four goals from deep in just his first two games back with the club. Couple this with his ability to carry the play into the final third and he should play an important role for us once again when the new campaign gets underway”.

Defenceman Jack Tarczycki joins agitator Corey Watkins and newly appointed captain Andy Smith on the Invicta Dynamos roster for 2011/12 with announcements of further additions expected in the coming days.
