Taylor confident ahead of Panthers weekend
Adam Taylor believes the Edinburgh Capitals can repeat their success of last weekend when they face the Nottingham Panthers in back-to-back home games this weekend. The Panthers visit Murrayfield on Saturday (6.00pm face-off) and Sunday (6.00pm face-off) with the Capitals looking to build on last weeks three points gained against the league leading Belfast Giants.
The 26-year-old Canadian who is currently top points scorer for the Capitals has today said last weekend has given the whole club a confidence boost heading into another double header weekend.
“We’re all pretty happy about the Belfast weekend” said Taylor. “We really wanted the four points, but three points against the leagues top team is something we’d have taken before the two games. This weekend we have Nottingham in Murrayfield and they’re a team that is very skilled and play their systems well.
“They have some very skilled forwards and play a well rounded game. I think we’re starting to feel real confident in our rink, it maybe old and cold but we skate well and really attack teams when they step out on the ice at Murrayfield. We’re confident heading into the two games and we’re hoping to have another weekend like the last one.”
