TDC Stars bolster defence
With Saturday’s opening league clash with the Nottingham Lions fast approaching, the TDC Northern Stars have added a further three defencemen to their line-up for the 2010/11 season. French Canadian JF Giroux will be joined by Karl Nelson and Marty Davies on the Stars blueline.
TDC Stars joint head coach Ivor Bennett was today delighted to welcome the trio back to the Metro Radio Arena: “The three lads played well last season and will all individually be looking to improve this year. All three are team players and give 100% for the cause game after game” said the former Durham Wasp.
“They have a great attitude and really enjoy playing for the club. The team last season was built around players like this and we’ll be looking for the same commitment and determination this time around.”
The TDC Stars welcome the Nottingham (Saturday at 6.30pm) and Solway Sharks (Sunday at 5.30pm) to the Metro Radio Arena this weekend. Tickets are available on the door priced at £5.00 for adults with under 16’s receiving free admittance.
