The Claws are back out
In the second of their two pre season friendly games, the Swindon Wildcats will face off against new comers to the league, the Telford Tigers this Saturday at the Link Centre with a 5.45pm face off. After being bought back into the league with the help of a supporters club, Telford will now look to prove themselves in what looks to be a tough EPL league this year.
Swindon will be looking to end their home friendly fixtures on a high after an encouraging 3-3 draw on Wednesday against Play off Champions the Slough Jets. After this fixture the team will heading out on two away pre season fixtures before the EPL season starts. Standing in the way of a victory this weekend will be a few faces familiar to many fans around the Wildcats club. Tiger forwards Tomas Janak and Marek Hornak have both seen time spent the Wildcats, with Hornak growing quite the fan base around Swindon after spending three years with the club in the past.
Telford come into the league being underdogs, however in a league which can see its fair share of mixed results, the Tigers should be underestimated come the weekend. Swindon will be looking to a send a message prior to the season getting underway and with it, use the momentum of a win to carry into the 2010/11 EPL campaign ahead.
