Thornton joins FAN celebration

British defenceman Richie Thornton is the latest player that will be appearing in Fan Appreciation Night this Sunday (7.30pm face-off) at Whitley Bay Ice Rink. Thornton who has spent the 2009/10 season split between the Vipers and the English National League’s Whitley Warriors today agreed to ice in the special one off event.
Thornton joins current Vipers head coach Rob Wilson and former Durham Wasps forward Shaun Johnson along with current Whitley Warriors players Simon Leach, Karl Culley, DJ Good, Dan Murdy, Adam Reynolds, Martin Crammond and Dan Harris at FAN. Furthermore fourteen current Mobilx Vipers players will be icing including netminder Michel Robinson and star defenceman Jerramie Domish.
FAN will see current members of the Elite League Vipers squad split into two opposing teams along with the guest players to compete against each other in a special 4 on 4 match over 2 x 20min periods. The fun filled evening will also include fan participation games, a chance to coach and play for the teams as well as buying your favourite players FAN worn jersey.
Tickets are available now priced at £7.00 for adults, £5.00 for concessions and £3.00 for under 16’s.
