The hockey season is back, and you can follow it all with us right here on BIH.
We are working on an archive of matches, stats and players from BIH in the past few years.

The Mobilx Newcastle Vipers have joined forces with the current British Basketball League champions the Newcastle Eagles to promote the club’s ‘Drive for 5’ weekend. The Cardiff Devils and Sheffield Steelers are visitors to the Metro Radio Arena on Saturday 21st (6.30pm face-off) and Sunday 22nd of November (5.30pm face-off) respectively with the Vipers aiming for sell out attendances of 5,000 spectators for both games.
Following last season’s haul of the BBL league, playoffs and trophy triumphs, the Eagles are now the most successful club in British Basketball history. With ‘Drive for 5’ less than two weeks away, Mobilx Vipers General Manager Jaimie Longmuir was delighted that the Vipers fellow Arena tenants had given their backing to the weekend.
“Firstly I’d like to thank Paul Blake and Fabulous Flournoy of the Eagles for their support of Drive for 5” said Longmuir. “The Vipers and the Eagles have worked together very closely in the past and having such a successful franchise behind our target can only aid our ambition of achieving the ten thousand spectators over the two nights”.
Eagles chief Paul Blake commented: “The Vipers like the Eagles have enjoyed success on and off the ice since their formation and as fellow tenants at the Metro Radio Arena we wish them all the best in their aim of achieving a new North East record for Ice Hockey”.
Tickets for the weekend can be purchased by visiting Vipers Hockey on 16 Shakespeare Street, Newcastle by calling the ticket hotline on 0191 261 0909 or by visiting www.vipershockey.co.uk. Two game packages are available priced at £23.00 for adults, £15.00 for concessions, £9.00 for students and £9.00 for children.
The weekend of ice hockey will not only include two exciting Elite Ice Hockey League games with the Newcastle Vipers taking on the Cardiff Devils and the Sheffield Steelers but will also include the annual Stan Calvert Cup game between Northumbria University and Newcastle University.
