Peterborough Phantoms are delighted to announce the signing of influential British forward Warren Tait.
Tait returns to Phantoms having established himself as a valuable and versatile member of the team and a player whose all round capabilities see him adding value in many areas. Director of Hockey, Jon Kynaston, commented, “following the excellent addition of Jeff Glowa and the return of the talented James Ferrara, adding Warren continues to really strengthen the 2010/2011 roster. Warren was a player we were delighted with in all areas last season and Curtis shared the same evaluation of his value to the team so we were delighted when the player made it clear from the outset that he was keen on a return to Phantoms and the club's great supporters”.
Coach Curtis Cruickshank was equally delighted with the latest capture, “no disrespect intended to any of the other players but when I took over the coaching duties here, Warren Tait was my number one target to re-sign. He is a veteran leader who has extensive experience at Elite level and his knowledge of the game along with that delivered by some of our other experienced players will be of huge benefit to us. Warren's an extremely versatile player as well as being probably the best penalty-kill player in the league and having such a player on the team allows me infinite options in our style of play which can be hugely important with the changing demands of a game. He's a fantastic person and I look forward to working with Warren who is sure to play a huge role in the success of this team".
