Wightlink sign two more
The Wightlink Raiders are pleased to confirm that two more of last year's play off squad are back for the new season.
Andrew Robinson, 30 next month, will start his 8th straight season with the Raiders. Since joining from Basingstoke in 2003 Robbo has become an important part of the Raiders set up and is now one of the club's longest serving players. His experience and enthusiasm will be vital in the squad again this year.
23 year old Kevin Tanner was one of the stars of the play offs last year averaging a goal a game after being used as a forward for the last month of the season. His versatility means he'll be a valuable member of the squad again this year. Tanner is a product of Gosport's youth set up and played for the Vectis Tigers prior to starting his first season with the Raiders last year.
A Raiders spokesperson says the team is shaping up nicely.
"We have a solid looking team already with more names to come. Its a team packed with experience and that winning mentality that we know will give us a head start over other teams. The mix of familiar faces and new talent is certainly helping to build the excitement for September !!"
