Wildcats to react to Lightning
The Swindon Wildcats take on the English Premier League Champions; the Milton Keynes Lightning in the Quarter Finals of the Ice Hockey Play offs hoping to gain one of the shock results of the season.
The Wildcats face MK in home and away legs with the winner going to the Play off Finals weekend in Coventry. The home leg is at the Link Centre on Saturday night 5.45pm face off with another huge crowd expected. The Wildcats will not be worried about going into this game as underdogs having, in the last month beaten 3 teams who are in the top five of the league, culminating in their excellent 10-2 win against the Manchester Phoenix on Saturday.
In fact with the Wildcats winning their last 5 home games, and being one of the only teams in 2010 to take points away from MK on their home rink, you can be assured the Lightning will not be taking the Wildcats lightly as they too look to book their place at Coventry. The importance of this game is certainly not lost on the MK faithful who having been booking their tickets for Saturday's game in large numbers.
