Head Coach Rob Wilson is demanding a response when his Mobilx Newcastle Vipers visit the Excel Hull Stingrays tomorrow night (7.30pm face-off) in what is now a battle for seventh spot. Following a highly disappointing weekend which saw the Stingrays inflict the Vipers heaviest home defeat since moving to Hillheads, Wilson wants an immediate response.

“The weekend was totally unacceptable and highly disappointing” said Wilson. “Every single player including myself is accountable for the performances and right now we need to have a long hard look at what direction we’re going in. There are no excuses for performances like that and I would like to apologise to our loyal fans who turn up week after week. We’re heading to Hull tomorrow and we’ve not only got our pride to play for but also put the record straight with Hull. I want a performance and result for the fans and the whole organisation, it’s up to us to go and do it now”.

The Edinburgh Capitals visit Whitley Bay Ice Rink on Saturday (6.30pm face-off) with the Vipers looking to put the record straight against this season’s bogey team. Tickets are available now priced at £11.00 for adults, £7.00 for concessions, £5.00 for under 16’s and £28.00 for a family (2 adults & 2 under 16’s). Tickets can be purchased via www.vipershockey.co.uk/shop, by telephoning 0191 261 0909 or by visiting the club shop on Shakespeare Street in Newcastle.
