The hockey season is back, and you can follow it all with us right here on BIH.
We are working on an archive of matches, stats and players from BIH in the past few years.
"Of course you have to be happy, we've just beaten the top of the League team," said a delighted Rob Wilson after his side's 2-1 home success over Nottingham Panthers on Sunday.
"Nottingham has a heck of a team, with talent and skill all over the ice. We have to play to our systems to contend with them, if we try to match them we'll get burned and burned badly.
"So I was delighted with the team's work ethic tonight - everyone from Robbie [goalie Michel Robinson] to the defence and all of the forwards. They have an unbelievable work rate right now, and they all did their jobs extremely well and got their rewards."
Matus Petricko opened the scoring in the first period before Mike Berry netted what turned out to be the game-winner on a penalty shot two minutes from the end of the second session.
"No question about the penalty shot, it was the correct call. Mike was clear of the two defencemen. I thought all of the officials had an excellent game, even the penalties called against us in the third were fair calls."
Exactly a quarter of the way through the League season, Vipers are in a three-way tie for top spot, which Wilson said would not have been predicted at the season's start.
"I can't think of anyone at the end of the summer who thought we'd be where we are. But that's fine, it suits us to be under the radar.
"The big games just keep coming, we've taken four points off Nottingham, a point from Coventry and two from Sheffield plus the win over Hull - that's a great five game stretch. Next week we have Coventry away and Belfast at home, then it's Cardiff and Sheffield.
"My players don't stop working, whatever the opposition, and that's how we're getting the results we are.
"Long may it continue."
Next Sunday's home game against Belfast Giants faces off at 5.30pm, and tickets are available from the club shop in Shakespeare Street, by telephone on 0191 2610909 or online via vipershockey.co.uk.
