The hockey season is back, and you can follow it all with us right here on BIH.
We are working on an archive of matches, stats and players from BIH in the past few years.

Mobilx Newcastle Vipers head coach Rob Wilson today confirmed that the club are continuing to talk to possible targets in their search for a replacement for Todd Griffith. Wilson has recently publically vented his frustration in his search for a new forward with the Vipers having been close to a couple of targets, only to see deals fall through at the last minute.
“We’re still in the market and still talking to agents and players on a daily basis” confirmed Wilson. “However we’ve seen recently with the likes of Coventry and their attempts to sign Ben Simon that one minute a deal looks all set and then the next you’re back to square one which can be very frustrating when you’ve put a lot of hard work in. I know I keep saying this, but any new player coming into this club must fit into the programme we’ve got here this year and fit into the budget we’re working to. Guys have been out there who we’ve wanted, we’ve done our homework, decided they were what we wanted but it’s either been down to money or additional requirements from the player which we haven’t been able to agree on.”
Wilson has however indicated that he wants to make a decision this week on bringing a player to Tyneside with the clubs ‘Drive for 5’ weekend coming up and then the move back to Whitley Bay Ice Rink on the horizon.
“We’d ideally like someone in for next week for Drive for 5” said Wilson. “We’ve got a couple of options there right now, but we’ve been looking for a specific type of player and if nothing materialises in the next few days we’ll have to start looking at reducing our expectations in terms of the standard of player to bring into the club. It’s not what we want to do, but with the move to Whitley just around the corner I want to make sure we hit the ice there with an extra body in our line-up so we can come away with a win against Coventry which will set us up for the rest of the season.”
The Vipers welcome the Belfast Giants to the Metro Radio Arena tomorrow (5.30pm face-off). Tickets will be available on the door right up until face-off.
The Vipers 'Drive for 5' weekend is coming up on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd November when we welcome the Cardiff Devils and Sheffield Steelers to the Metro Radio Arena.
