Zajac focused on Tyneside battle

Following back to back success over the Edinburgh Capitals at the weekend, British defenceman Sam Zajac is looking forward to facing the Whitley Warriors on Wednesday night (7.30pm face-off). The Winn Solicitors backed Newcastle Vipers go head to head with the Warriors at Whitley Bay’s Hillheads Ice Rink for bragging rights on Tyneside.
“I can’t wait for the Warriors game” confirmed Zajac. “There are plenty of friends on both teams, but when the puck drops that all goes out the window and it’s going to hurt either side to lose”.
“We are obviously expected to win the game but Whitley have been training for a while now and looked good at the recent Northern League weekend. It’s going to be a great showcase for North East Ice Hockey and hopefully the atmosphere will match what should be an exciting game”.
Tickets for the Vipers v Warriors game are on sale now via vipershockey.co.uk/shop priced at £7.00 for adults, £4.00 for concessions, £2.00 for children and £15.00 for a family (2 adults & 2 under 16’s).
The Winn’s Vipers welcome the Sheffield Steelers to Hillheads this Sunday (5.30pm face-off) for their Ice Wars themed night.
