Zion fit for the weekend
Jonathan Zion will be fit to play in this Saturdays home game against Hull Stingrays at the Sheffield Arena says head coach David Matsos.
Zion was caught by a Nottingham players skate and cut just above the skate for 10 stitches, just missing the achilles tendon.
"I think Jonathan was lucky" said Matsos "it was a fluke injury but it could have been a lot more serious. We thank the Dr at Nottingham who acted quickly and looked after our man well.
"It is though just a skin wound and as long as we protect it and wrap it up well there isn't any reason why he shouldn't play both games this weekend.
"He is a tough character and I don't see him as being a guy who wants to miss a game, I think he will be the first at the rink on Saturday".
