Braehead Clan have confirmed the signing of American defender Harry Quast for the remainder of the 2016/17 season.

The 25-year-old, who spent the end of last season with Manchester Monarchs in the ECHL, replaces Trevor Hendrikx on the roster after he was released by the club.

Quast is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire where he spent four years with the NCAA Division 1 organisation.

Clan Head Coach Ryan Finnerty said: “We’ve been looking for a big puck moving defender for sometime, and we believe we’ve found him in Harry.

“I spoke to Jamie Fritsch at length about Harry and he has highly recommended him. He’s a young kid, hungry to do well, skates well and provides us with extra size on the blueline.”
