Bracknell Bees have signed Olegs Lascenko from NIHL1 South club Chelmsford Chieftains.

The 19-year-old is British trained having progressed through the Romford junior system before joining Chelmsford in 2013 and icing for the Warriors in D2S and the Mohawks at U18 level.

Lascenko signed for HK Liepaja in Latvia where he went on to ice for the junior and senior teams for two years before returning to Britain to sign for the Chieftains.

Bees’ boss Lukas Smital said: “I’m happy to have been able to add to the squad with the signing of Olegs.

“He is still a young and developing player, but has a keen eye for the net and his addition will give us an extra options up front.

“For his age Olegs is pretty strong and a very versatile player in defence or as a forward.

“I look forward to working with him, helping him progress and giving him his chance at EPL level.”
