Dundee Stars have confirmed forward Scott Brannon has agreed a contract extension through to the summer of 2017.

Brannon joined up with Stars during the home stretch of the 2015/16 Elite League season, after spending the best part of the previous four years with the ECHL’s Rapid City Rush.

Head Coach Marc LeFebvre said: “We are delighted that Scott has signed up for another season – he will add industry to the line-up.

“Scott is strong at both ends of the rink and tenacious in the neutral zone. He will score goals and is a great fit in helping the team move forward.”

Brannon added: “I would like to thank the entire Stars organization and Marc for giving me the opportunity to come and play the last two months of the season in Dundee.

“I was only in the city for a short time but loved every second of it and I cannot wait to get back for the next season.

“I’m looking forward to getting things started. I would especially like to thank all the Stars fans for the great support I received. It was just amazing. See you in August.”

Scott joins Joe Fallon who signed on with the Stars last week and Josh Grieveson who was added to the roster earlier this week. Craig Moore, Mikael Lidhammar, Brett Switzer, Justin Faryna and Kevin Hart have already extended their contracts.
