Fife Flyers have secured the signing of Canadian forward Brendan Brooks.

The 37-year-old is no stranger to the Elite League having spent last season with Braehead Clan.

Brooks said: “I just want to say how excited I am to be a part of the Flyers organisation. I’m looking forward to being on the ice and having the loyal Flyers fans on my side this time.

“I have heard nothing but great things about Fife and how the guys are treated by the fans. I’m looking forward to having the noisy Fifers on my side for once, and helping the team win some games and silverware.”

Head Coach Todd Dutiaume added: “There is a reason Brendan was a fan favourite last season both on and off the ice.

“Not only does his résumé say it all but he has an incredible work ethic, he’s personable and will instantly connect with our fan base.

“On and off the ice Brendan is a guy we want associated with our club.

“As soon as he became available I knew we had to make a move on him. He will feature in all areas of our line-up and lead out front by example.

“Brendan will be very good for us and compliments our other guys up front – I’m excited to see this forward line-up taking shape.”
