Edinburgh Capitals are searching for a new boss after confirming last season’s player/coach Michal Dobron has accepted an offer from French side Albatros de Brest.

Although the Capitals finished bottom of the Elite League table for the second successive year last term, Dobron’s team picked up 10 more points than their 2015/16 counterparts.

Capitals’ owner Scott Neil said: “We wish Michal the very best as he takes on his new challenge as player/assistant coach for Brest in France this coming season.

“Michal has been a fans favourite with the Capitals over three spells with the club and remains hugely popular here in Edinburgh.

“We thank him for all his efforts both on and off the ice for the club and wish him and his family every success in France this season.”
