Cardiff prepare for Champions Hockey League with four pre-season dates

Cardiff Devils will host 3 different European opponents in pre-season action as they build towards the start of the Champions Hockey League at the end of August.

Saturday & Sunday August 10th & 11th – Devils V Fehervar

Saturday August 17th – Devils V HC Banska Bystrica

Sunday August 25th – Devils V MAC Budapest

Fehervar AV19 play in the Erste Bank League (EBEL), finishing in 4th place in the 2018-19 season.  They finished just ahead of Red Bull Salzburg who the Devils faced last season in the CHL.  Fehervar is the only team in their league based in Hungary and this will be the first time in history the two teams will face each other.

HC Banska Bystrica just won their 3rd consecutive Slovakian Elite League Championship and will travel to Cardiff for the 2nd time in the last 4 years.  The Devils hosted the Slovakian Champs in 2016 for 2 pre-season games.

MAC Budapest are travelling to the UK for two games in August, facing the Sheffield Steelers the night before they travel to Cardiff to take on the Devils.  Budapest also play in the Slovakian Tipsort League and this will be the first time the two sides have ever met.

Tickets for all pre-season action will go on sale in late May.
