Fife Flyers are delighted to confirm the re-signing of Canadian/Italian Carlo Finucci. The 30 year old, 5’9, 190lbs left winger from Burnaby, BC, Canada is also an EU passport holder.

Last season Finucci iced in all 62 matches for Fife, scoring 19 goals and 23 assists.

Finucci started his professional career in the ECHL with Las Vegas Wranglers in 2012 and has also iced with Evansville Icemen. During his 2 years in the ECHL Carlo has iced in 109 games scoring 14 goals and 33 assists.

Finuccis has also iced in Denmark with Rungsted scoring 20 goals and 20 assists in 44 games. 2 seasons ago Finucci joined the Swindon Wildcats in the now defunct EPIHL tallying 30 goals & 19 assists for 49 points from 43 games.

Fife Flyers Head Coach Todd Dutiaume had the following to say on Finucci’s return “Carlo earned the right to be back in a Flyers jersey again this season. The process dragged on much to long and as I explained to him that was entirely down to myself.

“Carlo is a good team mate who is a positive influence in our dressing room. Over our extensive conversations I’ve let him know the direction we are heading as an organisation and the importance placed on conditioning and work ethic that will be demanded from the coaching staff.

“One can’t dispute the fact that Carlo nearly scored 20 goals for us last year and that was without any special team play.

“I expect more out of him this year and after speaking with him the other day he believes he has much more to offer us. I look forward to getting him back into town.”

Finucci added “I am proud and excited to be able to pull the Fife jersey on again, and build off of my first season in the Elite League.

I can’t wait to get back overseas and meet my new teammates and see some familiar faces!

Carlo will once again wear the #40 for the Flyers this season.
