Glasgow’s Braehead Clan Hockey & Operations Director Gareth Chalmers believes the injuries to Adam Brace and Craig Peacock would effect any team in the EIHL.
29-year-old Brace has been out of action since September with a lower body injury, with Great Britain international Peacock out in recent weeks with an upper body injury.
“Losing both Adam and Craig has been a major blow” said Chalmers. “Adam picked up his injury in training early on and the early signs hadn’t been so bad.
“However, it became more apparent that it was going to take a couple of months to rehabilitate which was a major blow to the club.
“Adam is a calibre forward in this league and will be up there with the best, for any team in the EIHL to lose a player like this is a major blow.
“With Peacock he is one of the top British players in the EIHL, there aren’t many teams with that quality of British player.
“The club’s medical staff are assessing both players every single day and working with them to get them back to full fitness.”
