Clan hit by Scofield injury blow

Clan, British Ice Hockey
Glasgow’s Braehead Clan have received further bad news on the injury front with confirmation that forward Tyler Scofield will be out of action for 2 to 3 weeks.
The 33-year-old Canadian got hit by a puck over the weekend which resulted in Tyler picking up a lower body injury as the Clan battle for the last playoff place.
Head Coach John Tripp was disappointed to lose yet another body, but has called on his players to rally around ahead of this weekend against Edinburgh and Dundee.
“It’s yet another addition to the ever growing list of injuries we are accumulating” said Tripp. “With Potulny and Shattock already sitting out, losing Scofield is another blow.
“However this is the time we need to pull together, work hard, play for each other and we still have the quality to win games.
“We have two very important Gardiner Conference games coming up this weekend, with the Purple Army behind us as ever we can come away with two big wins.”
Tickets for the visit of the Edinburgh Capitals on Saturday (7:00pm face-off) are available now via braeheadclan.com, by calling 0844 499 1700 or direct at the Braehead Arena box office.
