Braehead Clan forward Craig Peacock admitted he was well briefed about what to expect from the rivalry with Fife Flyers when he joined the club.

The GB international is getting ready for a visit to Fife Ice Arena on Saturday, as Clan prepare for their final weekend on the road before they return to home ice.

Peacock says both teams have moved on since they last met in October when Clan won well in the two games over Todd Dutiaume’s side.

“The atmosphere at these games is great and I was told by the guys that had been at the club before me that it’s a different animal going to Fife as a Braehead player,” Peacock said.

“I heard a lot about it when I moved over. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before and you have to play in it to appreciate what it’s about.

“After beating them twice over a weekend last month, it’s nice to have that advantage over them as we head back there.

“But both teams have moved on. Teams change and progress and they’ll be looking to improve, just as we’ll look to continue our dominance over them.”
