Glasgow’s Braehead Clan completed a well-earned four-point weekend as they took victory over Dundee Stars in a 4-3 success.

Barely 24 hours had passed since the Clan won 3-1 at home to set up the chance of taking two road points and they managed to do it.

There were no goals in the first period, but opportunities at either end from Brendan Brooks and Jimmy Jensen were saved by the respective opposing goalies.

However, like Saturday night, Dundee drew first blood as Omar Pacha’s delivery from the right was finish low and backhanded by Brian Hart to take the lead.

Braehead got themselves level when Clan’s Jacob Doty and Stars goalie Travis Fullerton came together for the loose puck, which broke for Adam Brace, who scored on the wraparound.

Within a couple of minutes, John Tripp’s men went in front when Ryan Potulny fired in from the left and the black disc broke for Brooks at the back post to tap in.

Braehead went 3-1 in front five minutes into the third as Ville Hämäläinen teed up Matt Haywood for the close range finish.

Then Brooks added a fourth a couple of minutes to open up a three-goal cushion as hopes of a double weekend of wins looked very much on.

Former Clan defenceman Cody Carlson scored with a rocket of a shot to close the gap to two before Hart’s second pulled the Stars to within one with six minutes to go.

Carlson was ejected from the game late on for misconduct, but Braehead held on for the points to go five points ahead of the Stars in the latest phase of ‘Operation Play-offs’.
