Fife Flyers’ boss Todd Dutiaume is happy with how his plans for the upcoming Elite League season are progressing.

With returnees Ryan Dingle, Philippe Paquet and Shayne Stockton already confirmed, Dutiaume expects a number of signings to be announced soon.

“At this point I’m happy with the recruitment so far and all being well we should have a number of guys to announce shortly,” he said.

“We’ve been very lucky in the players we have brought into Fife. I’ve always said that guys who get along, play hard for each other and want to win for each other.

“That hasn’t changed and during recruitment we always are diligent in our background checks to ensure we bring in quality players and good people.”

Dutiaume also noted the increase in standard in the Elite League over the past few seasons, saying he expects the trend to continue in 2016/17.

He is keen to ensure his team hits the ground running next season.

“Now more than ever it’s crucial that all of our players come in top shape,” said Dutiaume.

“We realise how important it is to have a great start to the season and demand that our guys are fully prepared.

“Most guys these days take great care of themselves and know what is expected of them during the off-season.”
