Sunday’s Elite Challenge Cup Final between Nottingham Panthers and Cardiff Devils will be shown live on the BBC Sport website and on selected Connected TVs.
This will be the first time in the Elite League era that a major final will be shown live on a free-to-air platform.
Great news that the Challenge Cup final will be shown on BBC online. Exactly the sort of thing UK ice hockey needs. Well done @Sethb45.

Elite League Chairman, Tony Smith, said: “Making the tournament more accessible for fans is one of the reasons why we changed the Challenge Cup to a one-off final last year.
“Whatever sport you follow the excitement of cup final day is something that fans understand and the league is really excited to be able to share ours with the wider sporting world.
“This is a great opportunity for us to showcase our sport in front of a huge audience who may not watch ice hockey on a regular basis.”
Like the old days a one off Challenge Cup Final on @BBCSport @EliteLeague @PanthersIHC #EIHL #panthersnation
