Cardiff Devils extended their lead at the top of the Elite League to six points after recording two victories over the weekend.

Joey Martin’s goal secured a 3-2 overtime win at Manchester Storm, while David Brine (above) was amongst the scorers as the Devils sealed a 5-2 home success against Belfast Giants.

Nottingham Panthers stay second despite suffering a miserable weekend – losing 4-2 at home to Edinburgh Capitals and 5-2 at Braehead Clan.

Sheffield Steelers picked up a pair of victories from their weekend double-header against Coventry Blaze, winning 9-5 on home ice in the Challenge Cup and 6-1 in the league at the Sky Dome.

Justin Fox (2) topped the scoring for Fife in their 3-2 home win against Dundee Stars and the Flyers followed up with a 7-4 success in the reverse fixture.

James Desmarais grabbed the winner for Belfast as they sealed a 3-2 victory on home ice against Braehead.

Darian Dziurzynski (2) led the way for Manchester in their 4-1 road win at Edinburgh.
