
Fife Flyers bounced back from their 3-1 Elite League defeat at Braehead Clan on Friday with two impressive home victories over the weekend.
Nico Sacchetti scored twice as Flyers won 4-3 against Belfast Giants, and they followed up with a 4-2 success against Braehead – Ryan Dingle (2) topped the scoring.
Cardiff Devils opened a seven-point lead at the top of the table after picking up two wins.
Jake Morrissette, Leigh Salters and Guillaume Doucet were on target as Devils triumphed 3-0 at Nottingham Panthers, while Luke Piggott and Andrew Hotham got the goals in their 2-1 victory at home to Edinburgh Capitals.
Panthers recovered from their defeat against the Devils to record a 5-4 shoot-out success at Belfast – Andy Bohmbach got the winner.
Coventry Blaze enjoyed a successful weekend against Sheffield Steelers, winning 3-2 after a shoot-out on the road and 5-1 back on home ice.
Manchester Storm also secured a four-point weekend after winning 8-5 at home to Edinburgh and 4-2 at Dundee Stars.
