Cardiff Devils moved two points clear at the top of the Elite League after a 5-2 home victory over Edinburgh Capitals – Andrew Lord (2) led their scoring.

The Devils followed up with a hard fought 3-2 Challenge Cup success at Coventry Blaze – Patrick Asselin bagged the winner in the first minute of overtime.

Sheffield Steelers secured a four-point weekend in the league against Fife Flyers, winning 4-1 on home ice and 4-2 in Kirkcaldy.

Belfast Giants split their home double-header against Coventry, losing 2-1 in their first game before bouncing with a 4-1 victory in the second meeting.

Cody Cartier hit a hat-trick for Manchester Storm as they ran out 6-2 winners on home ice against Edinburgh.

Kevin Hart, Brett Switzer and Felix-Antoine Poulin got the goals as Dundee Stars triumphed 3-0 at Braehead.

The Clan gained their revenge with a 5-4 shoot-out success at Dundee Ice Arena in the cup the following day – Jay Rosehill grabbed the deciding goal.
