Manchester Storm shocked Elite League leaders Cardiff Devils on Friday after securing an excellent 3-2 victory at Ice Arena Wales.

Chris Culligan put the Devils ahead in the 9th minute, but Trevor Johnson tied things up late in the first session.

Taylor Dickin made it 2-1 to the visitors after 39 minutes and Storm extended their lead through Mario Valery-Trabucco (above) early in the third period.

Gleason Fournier reduced the deficit to one with nine minutes left, but Storm held on to seal the points.

Belfast Giants are now four points behind the Devils with a game in hand after a 9-6 home victory against Edinburgh Capitals – Alex Foster (2), James Desmarais (2) and Blair Riley (2) led their scoring.

Nottingham Panthers won 4-2 at home to Dundee Stars – Robert Farmer (2), Brian McGrattan and Alex Nikiforuk got the goals.

Braehead recorded a 4-3 home success against Fife Flyers – Bari McKenzie, Scott Aaarssen, Alex Leavitt and Matt Keith were on target for the Clan.
