Nottingham Panthers still lead the Elite League despite enduring mixed fortunes on their road trip to Scotland this weekend.

Goals by Brad Moran, Evan Mosey and Juraj Kolnik helped Panthers come from 2-0 down to win 3-2 against Edinburgh, but Capitals gained their revenge in the second game with a 5-3 success – Trevor Gerling scored twice for the home team.

Joey Martin (2) and Guillaume Doucet (2) led the scoring for Cardiff Devils as they extended their winning home run to 13 games with a 6-2 victory against Sheffield Steelers.

Devils missed the chance to go top of the league after losing 5-4 at Dundee Stars – Riley Wetmore bagged the winner with just over five minutes remaining.

Braehead Clan bounced back from last weekend’s double disappointment as they posted two impressive road wins.

An Alex Leavitt hat-trick was instrumental as they came from 4-1 down at Manchester Storm to claim a 6-4 victory, and Clan followed up with a 2-1 success at Sheffield – Brendan Brooks and Bari McKenzie got the goals.

Vinny Scarsella (2) topped the scoring for Manchester as they won 5-3 at Coventry Blaze.

Belfast Giants picked up a pair of victories in their weekend Elite Challenge Cup double-header against Fife Flyers, winning 3-0 on the road and 3-2 back on home ice.
