The Elite League remains full of intrigue.
Whether it’s the Nottingham Panthers authoring a six-point gameweek, the Guildford Flames winning with the shortest of short benches, or the Glasgow Clan relying on head-spinning netminder, there’s no storyline shortage this term.
With that, let’s dive into our sixth Elite League Team of the Week of 2025-26.
Sami Aittokallio, Glasgow Clan

Sami Aittokallio played twice, won twice, and stood on his head… twice.
On Wednesday [15 October], the Finn made 26 saves on 28 shots to backstop Glasgow to on overtime win versus the Sheffield Steelers.
Impressive, but his best performance came three nights later when he turned aside 49 of the 51 shots he faced against the Cardiff Devils.
Denying 2.08 goals above expectations, Aittokallio exuded confidence between the pipes — and stopped five high-danger scoring chances.
The 33-year-old has endured a bumpy start to his Elite League career (he allowed five goals on 24 shots in a 6-5 win on 20 September) but he showed his true potential in gameweek six.
Jake Gravelle, Guildford Flames
The Flames aren’t injury-hit. They’re battered — and were forced to ice a roster of just five defencemen and eight forwards for Saturday [18 October]’s clash against the Manchester Storm.
Remarkably, they won anyway, making any of Paul Dixon’s thirteen skaters worthy Team of the Week candidates.
But the spot has to be Jake Gravelle’s.
The 25-year-old tallied two primary, five-on-five assists (on Guildford’s first and third goals), playing an action-packed 25-minute shift on the backend.
Dominic Cormier, Sheffield Steelers
Dominic Cormier returns to the Team of the Week with a pair of primary assists: a powerplay helper to Mitchell Heard (versus Cardiff) and a short-handed dish to Clifford Pu (against the Coventry Blaze).
Mitchell Balmas, Sheffield Steelers
Mitchell Balmas is on pace for his third consecutive point-per-game Elite League season.
The Canadian is almost always on the scoresheet (blanking only thrice in 13 appearances this term) and scored six points in three games in round six.
He started with an assist in defeat to Glasgow, before scoring a hattrick against the Blaze, and doubling down with a goal and an assist versus Cardiff.
Balmas has eight points in his last four appearances — and shows no signs of slowing down.
Mitchell Fossier, Nottingham Panthers

Mitchell Fossier played a leading role as Nottingham secured their first six-point week of the season.
Not only did the American score four points in three games, he provided offence in crucial moments, including the primary assist on the Panthers’ game-winning powerplay gaol against the Dundee Stars on Sunday.
Unlike many of his teammates, Fossier hasn’t struggled with inconsistency to start the campaign.
He already has 18 points (ten goals, eight assists) in 14 games, playing fantastic hockey to boot.
Brett Neumann, Glasgow Clan

Brett Neumann has that clutch factor, scoring in back-to-back-to-back games for the Clan in gameweek six.
The Canadian’s impact is made even clearer once Glasgow’s scorelines are revealed: 3-2 winners over Sheffield, 3-2 winners over Glasgow, and 2-1 losers in Coventry.
Neumann is valuable in all situations and is currently on pace for a career-high 31 goals. Keep an eye on his progress.
