Guildford Flames are still unbeaten in the EPL play-off group round after recording two victories over the weekend.

Tuomas Santavuori bagged the winner in their 3-2 home win against Sheffield Steeldogs, while Andrew McKinney’s late goal capped a 3-1 success at Peterborough Phantoms.

MK Lightning maintained their perfect record courtesy of a 4-3 win at home to Basingstoke Bison and a 5-2 victory at Hull Pirates.

Basingstoke had better luck on home ice against Swindon Wildcats as they secured a 3-1 success – Derek Roehl, Tomas Karpov and Ciaran Long got the goals.

Max Birbraer’s hat-trick was the highlight of Swindon’s 6-3 win at home to Hull.

Telford Tigers bounced back from their opening play-off defeat against Guildford with a four point weekend.

Rick Plant (2), Doug Clarkson (2), Jonathan Weaver (2) and Corey McEwen were on target in their 7-0 home win against Peterborough, and McEwen weighed in with two more as the Tigers triumphed 8-3 at Sheffield.
