Peterborough Phantoms ‘D’ man Robbie Ferrara has re-signed with the club for another two seasons.

Ferrara has spent the majority of his career with the Phantoms, racking up 300 appearances in EPL competitions.

Head Coach Slava Koulikov said: “Last season the best of Robbie’s career – he played simple but effective hockey, was consistent and deserved his Defenseman of the Year award from the fans.

“I believe it was down to his maturity and the work he put in over the summer months, working on his weaknesses.

“Every player has a weakness, but not every player likes to work on the in the way Robbie did, and he was instrumental in our league positioning and being cup runners-up.

“Robbie is an important member of our team and I’m glad we have his services for the next two years.”

Ferrara added: “It’s great to be back with the team – I always enjoy being a part of the Phantoms.

“The club has grown and improved so much over the last couple of seasons and I look forward to the challenge of trying to keep us moving forward and winning some silverware.”
