Fife Flyers turned their weekend around with another one-sided victory over Braehead Clan, taking the points in a 5-1 home win.

After Saturday’s shutout loss at Belfast Giants, they got the reaction they were looking for at the expense of a Clan side still searching for some momentum.

Flyers were ahead after only three minutes when Chase Schaber surge in on the Clan net after taking the puck of the air and he got the finish to start things off.

Braehead were level shortly after when a five-on-three powerplay was enough to allow Tyler Shattock to go in unassisted and level things off.

However the home side retook the league as Peter LeBlanc was assisted by Carlo Finucci and the Flyers were 2-1 up after the first 20 minutes.

After a backwards and forwards second period, the home side extended their lead as Schaber’s powerful drive left Clan goalie Ryan Nie beaten.

Finucci added a fourth in the third period after James Isaacs did his bit in nicking the puck from a sluggish Clan move.

Then Isaacs turned scorer himself with a shot that beat Nie and confirmed another excellent victory for Todd Dutiaume’s men in front of their home support.
