Rupert Quiney has agreed another season with Guildford Flames.
The blueliner had a difficult 2015/16 season, with injury limiting him to just 34 games during Flames’ double-winning campaign.
Head Coach Paul Dixon said: “It can be a pretty frustrating year for players when they cannot get healthy and injuries recur.
“We committed him to a significant off season medical procedure in May, and he is in the middle of an intensive rehab process to get back to full fitness.
“He may, in fact, be a little late in getting started this coming season, but we believe he will be in a much better position to remain healthy once he starts competition.
“We are looking forward to his return and his contribution, with the confidence that this issue is behind him.”
