Guildford Flames have released Slovakian forward Erik Piatak.

The 29-year-old scored 14 goals with 14 assists in 28 EPL games, but has now found himself surplus to requirements after Flames added Finnish netminder Richard Ullberg to their roster earlier this week.

Player/Coach Paul Dixon said: “The recent goaltender change has a knock on effect in terms of the structure of the non-British trained portion of our roster.

“We have opted to let Erik go to satisfy the business reality of that situation. We wish Erik all the best as he moves forward with his playing career.”
