Fife Flyers have confirmed Todd Dutiaume will be back as Head Coach of the Kirkcaldy-based club for the 2016/17 season.

Dutiaume, who first joined the Flyers as a player during the 1998/99 season, has led the team to the Elite League play-off final weekend twice in the last three seasons.

Flyers narrowly missed out on the Gardiner Conference title last time around and Dutiaume is hoping to build on the progress the club has made.

“Last season was very physically and emotionally gruelling, but at the same time it was one of the most rewarding, as it turned out to be our most successful season in the Elite League to date,” he said.

“I’ve always been extremely proud to be a part of the Flyers organisation and I’m very honoured to be returning for my nineteenth season.

“The achievement of reaching the play-offs for the last four years, the play-off weekend for a second time in three seasons and narrowly missing out on the Conference, along with the enthusiasm and support of the Flyers supporters, has only increased my driving desire to bring the success we all crave and deserve.

“As always we will see some changes and fresh faces associated with the team this year, but my first priority is retaining a core of this squad and then to look to bring in the fresh personnel that will be pivotal in helping us achieve our goals.”
