Manchester Storm forward Devin DiDiomete has been banned for four matches by the Elite League Department of Player Safety (DOPS).

Didiomete was originally assessed a match penalty for Checking to the Head in Manchester’s game with Fife Flyers last Sunday.

Upon review this has been altered to a match penalty for Fighting. This carries an automatic one-game ban and DOPS have added an extra game to make a total of two matches. The extra game can be appealed against.

Didiomete has also been assessed a match penalty for Unsportsmanlike Conduct for an off-the-ice incident in the same game.

This carries an automatic one-game ban and DOPS have added an extra game to make a total of two matches. The extra game can be appealed against.

Didiomete will be banned for a total of four matches and will miss the following games.

Wednesday, 30th December 2015 – Cardiff Devils (A)
Friday, 1st January 2016 – Sheffield Steelers (H)
Saturday, 2nd January 2016 – Sheffield Steelers (A)
Saturday, 9th January 2016 – Fife Flyers (A)

Manchester requested supplementary discipline on Fife forward Danny Stewart from the same game, but this request was later retracted.

Fife also requested supplementary discipline on Manchester defenseman Paul Phillips – DOPS have reviewed the incident and decided no action will be taken.
