Giants seal deal for Quesnele | British Ice Hockey

Mike Quesnele has signed for Belfast Giants.

The 27-year-old defender spent the 2015/16 season with Coventry Blaze, posting nine goals with 16 assists in 63 games.

Prior to joining Blaze Quenele iced for five years with Lakehead University in Canada.

Steve Thornton, Giants’ Head of Hockey Operations, said: Derrick (Walser) and I felt that Mike was a top pairing defenseman in Coventry last year.

He skates well, competes hard and has offensive upside.

“We feel that he is a proven commodity in this league and we expect him to slot in nicely on our blueline.”
