Joey Haddad has signed for a third season with Cardiff Devils.

The 27-year-old forward scored 17 goals with 29 assists in 66 games last year.

Before joining the Devils, Haddad captained the Gwinnett Gladiators in the ECHL. He spent three seasons in Gwinnett, scoring 19, 23 and 18 goals respectively.

Devils’ boss Andrew Lord said: “Joey can be a dominant player in this league and we expect him to have another big year.

“He is a big body who uses his size and strength in the corners to win battles. He skates well and was one of the guys we knew could transition well between the smaller ice surface in our old rink and the olympic size ice pad in Ice Arena Wales.

“His goal production dipped last season, but we know what he can do. He scores big goals and has become a real leader with this club on and off the ice.”
