Braehead Clan forward Mike Hammond says he’s looking forward to facing Fife Flyers in the latest chapter of their rivalry on Friday.
The Flyers head to Braehead on Friday without a win in all Elite League meetings between them this season.
“The run of home games have been good and it’s always a good rivalry with Fife Flyers,” Hammond said. “We’re still looking to clinch our division and Friday is a big game for us.
“All games are big certainly, but the Fife ones are always entertaining. It’s a rivalry I’ve never seen before and they’re fun games to show up to.
“The fans make it loud and at home, it’s a big difference maker when you have the Purple Army behind you. Even their fans get involved and it’s always a good occasion.
“Clinching the Conference is our main goal right now. Getting the win would take us a step closer and it’s the only game for us to focus on this weekend.
“Hopefully we can continue our good record against them.”
