Kevin Phillips has agreed a second season with Guildford Flames.

The 30-year-old defenseman was a key part of Flames’ EPL Cup and play-off winning squad last year after transferring from Belfast Giants in the summer of 2015.

Phillips played in all 64 games last season, scoring 12 goals with 15 assists.

Head Coach Paul Dixon said: “Kevin’s significant domestic and international experience really came through this season.

“We wanted him because we believed he would be a reliable and steady presence on our blueline, and he certainly did not disappoint in any respect.

“There’s no question that Kevin was one of the catalysts for the success we were able to achieve, and getting him under contract for a new season is excellent progress in terms of our team building plans.”
