Dundee Stars’ Head Coach Marc LeFebvre has snapped up former Coventry Blaze forward Cale Tanaka.

The 29-year-old has scored 44 goals with 74 assists in 225 Elite League games.

LeFebvre said: “I worked with Cale at Coventry and I believe he will be a great fit for what we are looking to do in Dundee next season.

“I’m sure many Stars fans will remember Cale from his days with Hull and Coventry. He is a guy who can go coast to coast very quickly.

“Our aim was to get faster this season and certainly Cale fits the bill. I’m delighted he has chosen to sign with the Stars.

Tanaka added: “I’m delighted to sign for Dundee. It’s a great fit for me. I know all about the team’s great fans from playing against the Stars over the last few years.

“I’m really looking forward to working with Marc again and playing for a great organisation.”
