MK Lightning and Peterborough Phantoms have confirmed the dates for their eagerly anticipated EPL Cup semi-final clash.

The two teams meet at Milton Keynes Arena on Wednesday, 13 January, with the second leg a week later in Peterborough on Wednesday, 20 January. Both games face-off at 7.45pm.

The aggregate winner will face the victor of the other semi-final between Guildford Flames and Basingstoke Bison.

MK Head Coach, Pete Russell, said: “It’s great to be playing for a trophy so early in the season. Peterborough are a top team and they are going to be two great games. We want to go all the way and we will need everything to do it.

“We’ve played Peterborough four times already this year – and they were great games. We have beaten them twice, so there’s no reason why we can’t do it again.

Peterborough boss Slava Koulikov added: “This is the first time in some years Phantoms have made it to the last four of the cup. We have great fans that really get behind the team. There is nothing better than a packed arena. The atmosphere really does boost the guys.”
