Mike Hammond and Matt Beca each registered three points as Manchester bounced back from Saturday night’s defeat to beat Milton Keynes 6-2 at Silver Blade Altrincham.

Ryan Trenz put the Storm ahead after just 26 seconds, but Denny Kearney’s equaliser just before the mid way point of the period saw the teams enter the first break level.

A powerplay goal from defenceman Carl Hudson handed Milton Keynes the lead in the 28th minute before Manchester registered a powerplay market of their own as Hammond and Beca combined to set up Matt Bissonnette.

Linden Springer grabbed the Storm’s third of the night to give the home side a slender lead heading in to the final frame, with Ciaran Long doubling the advantage just over six minutes in to the third period.

Hammond then added a powerplay goal, assisted by Beca and Chris Auger, before Beca completed the victory with a short handed effort in the 54th minute.
