Nottingham Panthers have added top Czech netminding prospect Jindrich Pacl to their roster.

The 21-year-old is part of the Orli Znojmo organisation in the Czech Republic who play in the EBEL alongside teams based in Austria, Slovenia, Italy and Slovakia.

Pacl has been on the radar of several Czech Elite teams, but has now agreed to move to Britain.

Panthers ended last season with three goalies on their roster and it helped the club to secure two trophies.

Head Coach Corey Neilson said: “This formula worked well for us last year.

“We can play around within the number of ‘imports’ when we have injuries – there are a lot of games on the schedule and having three netminders will allow us to give appropriate rest and recovery.”
