Blackburn Hawks added the NIHL North Moralee D1 play-off crown to their regular season title after producing two assured performances at iceSheffield.

Hawks reached the final with a 5-2 victory against Solway Sharks – Richard Bentham (2) topped their scoring – while Thomas Soar’s four-goal haul was the highlight of Solihull Barons’ 5-3 success in their semi-final against Whitley Warriors.

Adam Brittle (2) and Daniel MacKriel (2) led the way for the Hawks in the final as they eased to a 7-3 win over the Barons.

Deeside Dragons picked up their second trophy of the season after securing the Laidler D2 play-off title.

Dragons progressed to the final courtesy of a 9-5 win against Blackburn Eagles – Adrian Palak scored six – while Widnes Wild made it through after a 3-1 success over Nottingham Lions.

Palak was again the difference maker in the final, grabbing a hat-trick as Dragons sealed a 5-3 victory.
